2.) Discussion and Approval of Draft Language for new Section 5 to CBA Article 27.

Draft language for the proposed By-Laws changes and Article 27 of the CBA (Temporary Reassignment) has been uploaded to the Union website. The draft C&B proposals are in the "Const./By-Laws" tab and the Article 27 draft language is in the "downloads" tab. There currently isn't any draft language for wage negotiations but it will be uploaded soon.

Annual Local 801 Family Picnic. The date is Saturday September 27th, 2025 from 12:00pm-5:00pm at Anthony’s lake place.
All the usual menu items including chicken, ribs, clams ,Water, Beer & Wine. Barts band “Junk” will be entertaining us again and we’ll have a bounce house and ice cream truck as well.

All stations have made the switch from Optimum to Bluepeak internet/ cable per the union's request.
Our 2-year contract costs each station $200 (before taxes) per month. As a reminder, NO city equipment (computers, IPads, iPhones, etc.) are to be connected to union Wi-Fi.
Every station should have login information posted on a white or chalk board.

On July 25th, members from local 1563 competed in the first annual Battle of the Badges Pickleball tournament hosted by BWI Local 1742.
The teams secured a Gold and Silver Medal.

On Friday August 1, Anne Arundel County Professional Fire Fighter Lester Shultzaberger began his retirement after over 29 years of service to the citizens of Anne Arundel County. Last week President Addivinola, Secretary-Treasurer Palinkas, and 4th District Rep Aaron Karvar joined Station 6's crew to present a plaque to FFIII Shultzaberger commemorating his years of service.

On July 18th 2025, Brother Anthony Buckel returned to Station 24 for his final walk off. Brother Buckel was forced into retirement due to a duty related injury after 18 years of dedicated service to this Local, Department, and citizens of Hoffman Estates.
